PRE SCHOOL PROGRAM

• PRESCHOOL – Our “Little Scholars Pre School”  is a Pennsylvania State Licensed program for children ages 30 months to 5 years of age who are potty trained at time of registration.  The Pre School program is offered in both five (5) day or three (3) full days per week.  It is a year round program that offers three (3) academic age appropriate classes and curriculums and strives to develop the total child.

Some of the differences that separate our “Little Scholars Pre School” program from others in the area include Swimming and Gym Class two days per week and Computer use. 

Children will be introduced to activities which focus on the following areas:

Physical Development:

• Gross Motor Skills
• Fine Motor Skills

Personal Development:

• Emotional
• Social
• Health & Safety
• Classroom Work and Play

Readiness Skills:

• Language
• Pre-Reading
• Pre-Math
• Science
• Computers

Additional Activities:

In addition to the above listed items our program includes the following activities:  Group Games, Songs and Finger Plays, Music, Free Play, Story-Time, Arts & Crafts, Movies and Field Trips.   

Through these activities we will give the children a sense of acceptance in their first school experience.  Through positive experiences, we strive to develop a good self- image and a sense of accomplishment in each child. 

Finally, we will help the children to become more independent and teach them to communicate their feelings and ideas in a more constructive manner.
